B+F Preschool is an all-weather program and strive to spend at least 85% of our learning time outdoors. In the event of inclement weather, we will move inside to our class & play areas.

HELLO! I am Ms Ashley and I am so thankful you are here!
I've always desired to be blessed in working with children of all ages. With a treasure of 20+ years nurturing minds from infancy to teen years, my heart beats for early childhood education. I'm passionate about creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our young Learners, offering a dynamic and affectionate haven at every step of their journey. From coming alongside families through years of nannying, teaching vibrant tots (2-5) in forward-thinking MDO/K-Prep programs (as Co-Director and Teacher), to leading the delightful Blossom + Flourish Preschool, my story weaves through every stage of learning. In addition, assisting with Homeschooling Families through enrichment unit studies, allowing nature and hands-on experiences to dance with traditional academics. I appreciate an eclectic approach--the wisdom of Montessori, Waldorf, and Charlotte Mason's philosophies—cherishing each unique child. Together, cultivating a learning oasis that applauds independence, fuels a passion for the living world, and supporting whom each Little Learner is created to be. It is my priviledge and honor to be able to come alongside you all, praying for you all, and supporting a healthy rooted foundation for your Little Seedling. We want to get to know your family, so please invite your whole family to attend our free fun family events all year long: 4th of July Fun, Meet ‘n Greet Ice Cream Kick-Off Party, Fall Festival, FriendsGiving, and Spring Fever Fun Run. You are always welcome to volunteer at any of our events.

Our small classes of just 6 children allows your child to be comfortable and grow valuable friendships with the other preschoolers and teacher. Because conflict-resolution skills are super vital to learn at this age, we help your child work through their problems with other children. Pretty soon they’re using the same strategies and words we’ve taught them, all by themselves!
#4: Your child will be more than ready for Kinder!
Your child will receive individualized instruction through our thorough assessments and curriculum. Our teachers will guide your child in the areas they need to improve, and challenge them when they’re ready for more. Our balance of teacher-directed and child-initiated hands-on activities follows the NAEYC guidelines to strengthen your whole child’s development: Social, Emotional, Cognitive, Language, and Physical.

Teaching children is a huge responsibility, and we take that responsibility seriously! Not only are we CPR/1st Aid Certified, but our distinct policies and procedures regarding health and safety help to keep your child in a safe, clean environment. We’re constantly cleaning, washing hands, and monitoring all activities to prevent any accidents.

To extend our learning we go on several field trips each year, and you get to join your child on them. We’ve gone to places like: the Zoo, the Science Museum, Peach Orchard, Police Station, Fire Station, Paseo Pottery, Breakaway Day, Pumpkin Patch, and more! We’ll also celebrate special occasions with parties for kicking off the new school year, the changing of the seasons, Thanksgiving, 50th day of Preschool, and your child’s birthday!
#8: Your child gets a shirt and portfolio!
Each year, your child will receive a different t-shirt for that school year to wear on Field Trips & Spirit Days. Some of our families have been with us so long they are t-shirt collectors! We also save some of your child’s artwork for a special portfolio you get at graduation.
#9: We help you preserve memories!
We offer you the opportunity to enrich your preschool experience by enjoying book orders, school pictures, class pictures, graduation pictures, cap ‘n gown pictures, and an end-of-the-year graduation video.
#10: We celebrate with graduation!
Bring your entire family to our yearly graduation where we celebrate your child's accomplishments in a big way! It'll be a night to remember! Your child will graduate every year, so be sure to bring your entire family for a fun family experience for free!

B+F Preschool is offered currently 2 days per week: Monday & Wednesday, an option of an AM or AFTERNOON class to better accommodate your family’s schedule. B+F Wildflowers is offered as a monthly membership or drop-in, for a "Kid'sNightOut". Here at B+F we will be offering WiNTER & SUMMER CAMPS, themed & purchased by weeks (themes announced as camps get closer), with Registration Priority going to B+F PRESCHOOL families first, then B+F Wildflowers families, then offered to the public. When should I call to register my child?
It’s never too early to call, so call as soon as you even think about registering, because our classes fill up ridiculously fast!
When does preschool start? Can I enroll mid-year?
We have an 8-month school year (Aug-Nov) and (Feb-May), with 2 weeks from both DEC/JAN (first two weeks in Dec & last 2 weeks of Jan), giving an extended break for the season. We offer weekly Winter Camps (about 6 themed to choose during Dec-Jan) and weekly Summer Camps (about 6 themed to choose during June-July) in between. If we have spots available, you can enroll mid-year. Please call us to see if we have any spots available or to be placed on our waiting list. We do offer what we call B+F Wildflowers, which is two monthly events set up as a "KidsNightOut", generally themed fun nights that are either a Fri or a Sat, 5:30-9:30 p.m.
How old does my child need to be to attend?
Preschool classes are for children who are ages 3-5 (and "independent almost-3-year-olds") by Aug. 1. Winter and Summer camps are for children who are ages 3-8 by June 1. If inquiring about our Homeschool Enrichment Nature program, please indicate so in an email.
Does my child have to be potty trained?
No, but definitely in training to be. If you have any questions about whether or not your child is ready, feel free to give us a call. We even have a “How To Potty Train” your child handout we can give you. It’s helped many preschool moms quickly potty train their kids. We’re here to help!
What is your teaching philosophy?
We follow a “whole child” philosophy where we work with you to improve your child’s Social, Emotional, Cognitive, Language, and Physical skills. Our curriculum is based on the NAEYC guidelines and features a balance of teacher-directed and child-initiated hands-on activities to accomplish these goals. We also incorporate Fundamentals Preschool Curriculum intertwined with the Alveary's Natural History Program, to give a robust nature-play based wholesome approach that support and emphasizes the importance of childhood and the outdoors. Your child will learn to socialize, make friends, develop social and emotional skills, and be more than ready for all types of learning opportunities! We appreciate Charlotte Mason's philosophy in fostering individual creativity and recoginizing each child as the whole person-- centering around nurturing the whole child, emphasizing personhood, self-education, and a positive, stimulating learning environment whilst promoting independence, and cultivating a love of learning, and supporting whom they are created to be. I desire to come alongside you all, pray for you all, and support a healthy rooted foundation for your Little Seedling to truly Blossom + Flourish!
Are there additional fees during the year?
No. Your registration fee covers all your child’s supplies and reserves a spot in our program. Your child won’t pay anything to attend our field trips and activities. And your family can come for free too! Your child will also receive at no extra cost: a preschool shirt to wear on Spirit Day, Field Trips, and a graduation portfolio!
What if my child has food restrictions?
No worries. Several of our students have food intolerances or severe allergies. We ask these families to bring in their own snacks, and we create nut-free classrooms any time a child’s allergy is severe enough to require an epi pen.
Is the registration fee refundable?
No.
How many students do you have per class?
We have the smallest class sizes in town so your child gets lots of 1-on-1 time. We only have 10 students per class.
